How to ease the load on your email inbox?
No one wants to be flooded with emails. Every application sends email notifications, which then mix with the other emails. So why not have everything related to projects and tasks in one place inside the application?
Many of you inspired us to build the notification center. Thanks to you we managed to refine it, and we will further develop and improve it based on feedback about the Projektově 2 application.
In Projektově 2 you can tag anyone with a mention and send them a notification through the application.

Notification center
As soon as someone tags you in a task, a mention pops up in the notification center. In the morning when you arrive at work, just open the app and you see everything related to projects and tasks in one place.
Mentions
When you use @ in text in a task or in a comment, the application automatically offers a drop-down of colleagues you can tag. You can only tag colleagues you have added to the project. By using an @ mention in the task detail, the colleague will also be automatically added to watching the task.
Using the notification center
At the bottom left in the so-called "user corner" we added the notification center. The notification center serves to alert you about a new task someone has assigned to you, or about an @ mention in a comment and in the task description. Anywhere in the task description you tag @ colleague Frantisek and a red dot blinks in his notification center about the new alert.
It works the other way around too – when Frantisek mentions @ you, an alert appears in your notification center. By clicking on the chosen alert you switch to the task card. If you want to resolve the task later, you just open the notification center, the alert disappears and you can return to the task whenever you want.
Notification display 💫
The notification center shows you a new task or mention in perfect synchronization, discreetly but in a way you cannot miss, with a red dot in the notification center. You have a new mention or task – the notification center lights up red, you open the menu and the red dot hides.
The notification center works the same way as the email alert, where everyone in the watcher list is informed about changes in a task.
You do not have to worry about red-dot nightmares. Just open/click the notification center and the dot is gone.
The 'apply settings to everyone' button turns email notifications off for the whole company.
How mentions work in the notification center
There are several variants of use.
- I choose Frantisek as the assignee and an alert arrives in his notification center
- Frantisek has turned off notification emails in his settings, so he is automatically alerted only by a notification inside the application
- Frantisek and Gizela are watching the task; I write a comment "What do you think? Any news?" – an alert appears in both of their notification centers
- if they have not turned off email alerts, they also receive an email alert
- if both Frantisek and Gizela have email notifications turned off, they receive only the notification – a red dot in the notification center
- manager Elvis has assigned me a new task – an alert arrives in my notification center (I have email notifications turned off)
- I open the task and if I have a question, I comment on it
- Frantisek ticked off the task as completed, an alert arrives for manager Elvis
- the manager is alerted automatically and sees all notifications about changes and completion of tasks he has assigned in one place in the notification center
